The World National Oil Companies Congress 2008 is the world’s most significant forum on National Oil Companies. It is specifically devoted to NOCs and the issues and challenges they and their partners face. Building on the enormous success of the 2007 event, the congress will feature some of the biggest names in the industry, as well as include a full extra day dedicated to gas/LNG issues.

 

The role of NOCs is changing and their importance to world energy markets is growing. In addition to holding substantial national and global responsibilities, they face new and complex challenges in both upstream and downstream sectors. Thus, the need for a forum where NOCs can reflect upon and improve their business, and crucially where they can meet current and prospective partners – be it IOCs, other NOCs, oil service companies or investors– is more apparent than ever.
